Reviews and Ratings
I was disappointed with my stay at the hotel. The room I was given had a door latch that wasn't functioning properly, leading to a transfer to another hotel without prior notification. Unfortunately, the replacement hotel was at the back of the building, overlooking a noisy bar that kept me up all night with people shouting and running wild in the car park until the early hours. Not the experience I expected, especially with a small child.
Although the rooms were a bit dated and needed refurbishment, the hotel offered great views for the price paid. The service was average with some helpful staff but lacking friendliness. The location was clean and tidy but had some noise issues. The dining experience had its flaws, requiring improvement. Overall, the hotel had its ups and downs but provided a decent stay.
The hotel had spacious rooms, but some maintenance issues, such as fittings falling off the wall and a broken sofa. The musty smell and lack of thorough cleaning were disappointing. The service was exceptional, with friendly and helpful staff. The location was excellent, close to Ayr and the beach, but some issues in the restaurant. The dining experience was good with a decent selection, despite minor setbacks. Overall, decent value for money with room for improvement.
